Seven short notes regarding the nature of the weekly Samovar Nights event
1. The Program or schedule of happening of Samovar Nights is not set up in advance in any way
2. The Nights have no organizer or organization. They are a coming together of people, during which each single person may do whatever he or she wants.
3. Samovar Nights invite and provoke people to act in unexpected ways, ie. do something that each person does not usually do and which cannot be expected from him/her.
4. Samovar Nights considers each act and non-act to be of great value and uncomparable to others in itself.
5. The members of Samovar Group do not recommend the use of any drugs including alcohol during the Nights, but do not take notice if someone uses them.
6. Samovar Nights is uncommercial.
7. No one person has priviledge over others during Samovar Nights.

Eighth note -
8. During Samovar Nights no one person needs to fear or care about what others think about him/her or his/hers action.

The first “The Samovar” is released today along with the first Samovaari Nights event in Helsinki. It is Samovar Group’s weekly publication which releases various material from artists of different genres. The contents of the first The Samovar are made by Pentti Aitta.

The journal is distributed along the weekly Samovaari Nights event in a pressing of ca. 15 copies on plain paper in A6 size.

In the future the journal will be available as handbound small booklets, pressed on high-quality paper. More info to come.

Group Samovar was founded in Helsinki today on the 7th of June 2010.

On this day we wrote our first manifesto.

Then we created this website and published the manifesto on it.
